The lawns of Jenny's Residency were splashed with colourful people splashing colour on each other and breaking the usual serenity, as they hosted the most sought after event 'Holi in the City' today evening.
Hosted couple of days prior to Holi celebrations, the LA Group unveiled their second edition of this gala event, this evening. Hundreds of youngsters holding glow sticks and wearing LED tiaras were at the heights of Jubilation.

Laughter, fun, dance and music drove the crowd into a frenzy! Faces of the participants were like a modern painting with a wild fusion of colors.
'Holi in the City', is the brain child of Chantel Vincent, daughter of Vincent Adikalairaj, Chairman of LA Group of Companies.
While speaking exclusively to SimpliCity, Chantel shared that "While I was perusing my masters in event management in the US, we students were assigned a project presentation based on some real-time event.
And, that's how in 2016 'Holi in the City' idea emerged. Last year, when we launched the first edition of this event, I was taken aback by the response we received. Close to 450 participants last year and this year it's 500 plus!

What we do here in 'Holi in the City' is not the traditional way of Holi celebration, we have sprinkled some magic spices like DJ, dance by professionals, water balloons, fun-filled competitions and much more and that has added a magical twist to the celebration. And, that's been the success mantra of this event.
Despite being strangers to each other, it is surprising to see the energy of the participants in gelling with each other so well. Such celebration definitely shatters all barriers and creates a feeling of oneness" said Chantel.

Beejal one of the participants from R.S.Puram was there at Jenny's with her daughter to celebrate Holi.
'Am from Gujarat but brought up in Coimbatore. In South India, Holi celebrations lack the real fun that we could witness in Northern states. But, these kind of events make us enjoy the festival of color, the best way possible'. Beejal said.
The rocking dance performance by Mrs. India Earth 2016, Jaya Mahesh and dancers from Sheriff's dance school enthralled the crowd with some mind blowing peppy numbers.
The DJ 303 kept the entire crowd on their toes by throwing some ecstatic music. Sonu Sebastian and Adarsh from Kochi will be playing some good music. Apart from colors of music and dance, water dhol and gol gappa eating competition, water balloon fight boosted the zest amongst the participants.
